Project Overview: Private Villa Interior Fit-Out, Al Khawaneej
DLD Interior Design completed the interior fit-out of a private villa in Al Khawaneej, Dubai, covering reception, living, and private areas across two floors. The design follows a classic, traditional style built around marble flooring, carved gypsum ceiling details, and rich dark-wood joinery, as shown in the photos above.
Formal Reception (Majlis)
The formal seating room features a gold-trimmed coved ceiling, fluted columns, and arched curtained windows, finished with patterned marble flooring and traditional upholstered seating.
Entrance Hall and Staircase
A double-height entrance hall connects the ground floor to the upper level by way of a marble staircase with a bronze-and-glass balustrade. The space is finished with a carved gold archway, a crystal chandelier, and circular medallion marble flooring, with a dark wood-paneled elevator door completing the entrance sequence.
Family and Media Area
The family living area is built around a custom-carved white lacquer media wall with a floral relief pattern, an integrated television, and floating display shelving, set against marble flooring.
Bedrooms and Private Areas
The private areas feature carved, backlit gypsum ceiling medallions in both hexagonal and circular designs, crystal chandeliers, and dark wood furniture with gold accents. A dressing area includes twin arched wardrobe doors in dark wood with gold inlay detailing, set above a marble-top vanity console.
