🏢 Design & Fit-out Overview
Your design for “Shake Mode” is a cohesive, modern, and whimsical take on a dessert shop, heavily leaning into a “Sweet Chic” or “Pastel Paradise” aesthetic.
- Theme & Atmosphere: The overall feel is playful, bright, and inviting, creating an immersive experience that matches the joy of ice cream. The dripping/melting ice cream motif is a standout feature, applied consistently across the counter and the external signage, which is highly memorable and brand-specific.
- Key Design Elements:
- Archways and Continuous Lines: The repeated use of arched doorways and wall niches gives the space an elegant, structural rhythm, reminiscent of classic architecture but modernized with the color palette.
- Flooring: The seamless, glossy pink floor with a subtle, fluid pattern (mimicking melting lines) enhances the whimsical theme and reflects light, making the space feel larger and brighter.
- Seating: The mixture of smooth, pastel-pink velvet banquettes along the walls and mid-century modern-style bucket chairs in dusty rose and white offers comfortable, varied seating options.
- Lighting: The use of multiple exposed pendant lights with conical shades provides a warm glow over the counter and seating areas, complementing the linear, hidden LED strip lighting outlining the arches, which adds a futuristic, architectural dimension.
- Fit-Out Approach: The work is highly specialized, requiring precise fabrication for custom elements like the wavy counter facade, the arched wall panels, and the exterior signage. Quality finishing is critical, especially for the seamless flooring and the textured wall coverings, to achieve the intended high-end, smooth aesthetic.
🎨 Materials, Colors, and Matching
The design is built on a tight, harmonious color scheme and material selection.
💖 Color Palette
| Color | Role in Design | Color Match Inspiration |
| Dusty Pink/Rose | Primary Dominant Color. Used on the seating upholstery, counter facade accents, and arched wall panels. It’s soft, sweet, and modern. | Strawberry Milkshake, Rose Quartz |
| Light Mint/Teal | Secondary Accent Color. Used for window trims and perhaps an accent wall or tile backsplash behind the counter (seen in the background). It provides a refreshing contrast to the pink. | Pistachio Ice Cream, Mint Chocolate Chip |
| White/Very Light Grey | Base Color. Used on the primary counter surface, walls, ceiling, and some chairs/tables. It keeps the space clean, bright, and airy. | Vanilla Ice Cream, Fresh Cream |
| Metallic Gold/Rose Gold | Metallic Accent. Subtle use on pendant light fixtures and perhaps trim details. Adds a touch of luxury and warmth. | Caramel Drizzle, Edible Gold Flakes |
✨ Materials Used
- Flooring: High-Gloss Epoxy or Polished Resin flooring in a custom pink shade. This achieves the seamless, reflective, and slightly patterned (wavy) look.
- Counter/Service Area: Solid Surface Material (like Corian or similar composite) for the white countertop, offering durability and seamless look. The wavy facade likely uses custom-cut and painted MDF or a smooth GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) panel with embedded LED lighting.
- Walls: Combination of smooth, painted walls (white/mint) and textured fabric or velvet-effect wall panels in dusty pink for the archways/niches, adding a soft, tactile depth. White brick veneer or faux-brick paneling is used for accent walls (behind the menu boards) for a slight industrial/modern contrast.
- Seating: Velvet or high-quality soft-touch synthetic fabric for the banquettes and chairs. Chrome or powder-coated metal for the chair bases.
- Signage/Menu: Large backlit digital screens or printed lightboxes are used for the menus to look modern and vibrant. The exterior signage uses acrylic/Perspex with internal LED lighting.
